Joseph Begley, the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit executive officer, adjusts his life preserver unit prior to boarding an MV-22 Osprey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 164 (Reinforced), 15th MEU, in preparation for planning and coordination of forward command element operations aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8).
