Members of the 20th Security Forces Squadron, Sumter Police Department, state constables and members of the Sumter County Sheriff's Office gathered at the Sumter Police Department, S.C., firing range to compete in a pistol tournament. The tournament, one of the many events celebrating Police Week, honors policemen and everything they sacrifice to fulfill their mission to preserve the peace. The other events that occurred were a golf tournament in Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., and a memorial service in downtown Sumter, S.C. These events offered a chance for officers to gather and build camaraderie between departments.
