U.S. Air Force Eric E. Kaziska, a civilian police officer of the 20th Security Forces Squadron, airmen and local police compete in a pistol tournament at the Sumter Police Department, S.C., firing range May 18, 2012. The different departments gather in support of Police Week, while building camaraderie between the various police forces. Police Week was proclaimed in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy to give recognition to all the hard working officers who sacrificed daily for their communities.
