U.S. Marines with II Marine Expeditionary Force, Sailors from 2nd Fleet and 6th Fleet and planners from the Norwegian Armed Forces conduct small group discussions during bi-lateral planning on Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 24, 2019. “I have been here several times,” said Lt. Col. Geir Husby, chief of operational planning with the Norwegian Army. “We have had a really good relationship with the U.S. Marine Corps for many years and it has really increased a lot in the past two to three years. It’s great being here and [the Marines] have been a good host.” II MEF hosted the bi-lateral event with Norwegian Army and Navy representatives to conduct detailed planning while developing and iterating Norwegian defense procedures.
