Acting Secretary of the Army, Ryan D. McCarthy presents a coin to Lt. Cmdr. Elizabeth Tateoka, assigned to Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) for her contributions to the defeat ISIS mission, during a visit to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Sept. 21, 2019. Tateoka, native of Salt Lake City, Utah, is currently assigned to the Surgery Directorate as the Chief of Clinical Operations. CJTF-OIR‘s primary mission is the defeat of ISIS in designated areas of Iraq and Syria and sets conditions for follow-on operations to increase regional stability.
