A U.S. Army soldier in full combat gear is deploying concertina (razor) wire in an open field during what appears to be a training exercise. The soldier is wearing OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) uniform with a unit patch visible on the shoulder, a combat helmet, protective eyewear, and white work gloves for handling the wire. The setting is a grassy military training area surrounded by trees.

Spc. Rachel Hersey, ammunition specialist, 10th Sustainment Brigade, Fort Drum, N.Y., stretches concertina wire around an area during the occupy and defend scenario Sept. 11 during the Army Ammunition Transfer Holding Point Team of the Year competition at Fort Pickett, Va. Teams established a field ATHP within a support area to provide ammunition resupply operations and defended the ATHP. ATHP started Sept. 9 and ran through Sept. 13. Teams of five Soldiers, from 75th Ranger Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, and 1st Cavalry Division, were assessed on ATHP operations and associated tasks that facilitate the receipt and transfer of ammunition.
