Marine veteran Travis Greene from Boise, Idaho, will compete in the 2012 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 30-May 5. Greene, 30, will compete in track and field, wheelchair basketball and sitting volleyball. The Twin Falls High School graduate is a combat-wounded Marine, recovering from injuries that left him a bilateral above knee amputee. While at home, Greene, stays active by participating in skiing, basketball and training events at his local gym. "First, I want to improve my level of competition and help elevate those around me," said Greene. "Second, I want to win, make the Warrior Games team and bring home the Cup." More than 200 wounded, ill or injured service members from the Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Special Operations Command are scheduled to compete in the Paralympic-style competition.
