Two U.S. Marines in desert MARPAT camouflage uniforms are rendering a salute during what appears to be a memorial ceremony at a forward operating base in an arid environment. In the foreground, a battlefield cross is visible — consisting of a rifle with a helmet placed on top — which is a traditional military tribute to fallen service members. Additional personnel are visible in the background observing the ceremony.
