CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – Rep. Deb Haaland, a Democrat from New Mexico’s 1st District, and Rep. John Garamendi, a Democrat from California’s 3rd District, both members of the House Armed Services Committee, speak with members of the Army Field Support Battalion-Kuwait, 401st Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB), March 20, 2019, at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Haaland and Garamendi visited the AFSB to understand their approach to cost saving measures that will consolidate resources and drive reform efforts to modernize the U.S. Army. The AFSB provides maintenance support, property accountability and logistical support throughout the Army Central Command’s (USARCENT) area of responsibility, enabling USARCENT to execute theater security.
