CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – Rep. Deb Haaland, a Democrat from New Mexico’s 1st District and member of the House Armed Services Committee, boards the Bradley Fighting Vehicle and receives a brief from Lt. Col. Christopher Garvin, commander, Army Field Support Battalion-Kuwait, 401st Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB), March 20, 2019 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Haaland visited the AFSB to understand their approach to cost saving measures that will consolidate resources and drive reform efforts to modernize the U.S. Army. The AFSB provides maintenance support, property accountability and logistical support throughout the Army Central Command’s (USARCENT) area of responsibility, enabling USARCENT to execute theater security.
