Multinational forces work with the Iraqi National Guard to secure the site of a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device June 26. Four Iraqis were killed, including a woman and a child, a Facilities Protective Services employee and the suicide bomber. The vehicle exploded 50 meters from the main gate of Mosul Airfield, a multinational forces base in Mosul, Iraq. It was loaded with 122mm rockets and a 60mm mortar that did not detonate in the explosion. The scene was secured and explosive ordnance teams were sent in to dispose of the munitions. This was the first major terrorist attack in Mosul since June 24 when four car bombs exploded, killing more than 60 and wounding more than 200. (Photo by Spc. Blair Larson)
