JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 23, 2018) – Thomas McCaffery (principal deputy assistant secretary of defense for health affairs), Vice Adm. Rocky Bono (director, Defense Health Agency), Vice Adm. Forrest Faison (U.S. Navy surgeon general), and Maj. Gen. Ronald Place (director, National Capital Region Medical Directorate, Defense Health Agency) address Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s leadership during a meeting at the hospital on Oct. 23. On Oct. 1, NH Jacksonville, including its five branch health clinics in Florida and Georgia, became the first Navy medical treatment facility to transition to the Defense Health Agency and establish a Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command.
