U.S. Marine Capt. David Christie stands by during Exercise Joint Assault Signals Company Black, Waiouru Training Area, New Zealand, Oct. 5, 2018. Christie, a native of Annandale, Virginia, is the officer in charge of 1st Brigade, 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, III MEF. Engineers and intelligence analysts with the New Zealand Army formed fire teams with Marines from 5th ANGLICO to provide opposing forces for Phantom Major, a training event which showcased the capabilities of upcoming infantry platoon commanders.
