U.S. Marine Sgt. Tyler Marino briefs his team during Exercise Joint Assault Signals Company Black, Waiouru Training Area, New Zealand, Oct. 4, 2018. Marino, a native of Columbus, Ohio, is a team leader with 1st Brigade, 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, III MEF. New Zealand Army soldiers and Marines with 5th ANGLICO worked together to provide opposing forces during Phantom Major, a training event which challenged upcoming platoon commanders to demonstrate confidence and capability leading fellow New Zealand Army soldiers.
