Gunnery Sgt. Scott M. Dahn, the training chief for 3rd Maintenance Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, speaks to Marines during the award ceremony honoring him for his heroic actions June 12, 2018 at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. Dahn came to the aid of Ching-Yi Sze, a Hong Kong native, while scuba diving at Maeda Point, Okinawa, Japan, May 20, 2018. Ching-Yi, was panicking underwater, had removed her air regulator and was beginning to intake water when Dahn came to her aid.
