SAN ANTONIO – (June 6, 2018) Chief Navy Counselor Isabel Guerrero (rt) of San Antonio, a division leading chief petty officer, assigned to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio, speaks with Kayla Geibe, a future Sailor, during a Delayed Entry Program (DEP) meeting held at the San Antonio Food Bank. During the event, recruiters, along with more than 60 future Sailors and other volunteers, filled 575 bags of produce and sorted 19,447 pounds of food which will provide 15,558 meals for needy families. The purpose of the volunteerism was to instill the “Whole Sailor Concept”. “I love helping people; that is one of my everlasting goals in life,” said Geibe, a 2018 graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School. “I joined the Navy because I want to serve my country and do something better in my life.” (U.S. Navy Photo by Burrell Parmer, Navy Recruiting District San Antonio Public Affairs/Released)
