Sgt. Ralph Hendress, supply non-commissioned officer, 983rd Engineer Battalion, demonstrates the proper way to tie the Army Combat Uniform trouser legs to trap air and create a flotation device on Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., Aug. 6. Hendress acted as the demonstrator for the class because he attended drown-proofing classes while on active duty. The engineer soldiers are on Fort Hunter Liggett for their annual training in support of Castle Installation Related Construction.
