Spc. Kenneth Smelcer, engineer, 336th Engineer Company, floats on his back in the drown proofing class at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., Aug. 6. The class teaches the SAFE method which is safe and easy movements for energy conservation, application of natural buoyancy, full lung inflation and extreme relaxation. The engineer Soldiers are at Fort Hunter Liggett for their annual training in support of Castle Installation Related Construction.
