An aerial photograph shows two naval vessels underway on open ocean, with a large aircraft carrier or amphibious assault ship in the upper portion of the frame and a smaller escort warship sailing in parallel below it. The larger vessel's flight deck is populated with numerous fixed-wing aircraft and rotary-wing aircraft arranged in organized rows. Both ships are generating visible bow waves and wakes, indicating active forward movement.
