    170808-N-ZS023-017 SINGAPORE (August 8, 2017) Republic of Singapore Navy Sailors are welcomed aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) by the Capt. Joseph Olsen, the ship’s commanding officer, during a scheduled ship visit. America is in Singapore to enhance U.S and Singapore relations and experience the culture of the country. America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
