GREAT LAKES, Ill., (August 9, 2017) -- Rear Adm. Stephen C. Evans (right) is congratulated by Vice Adm. Robert P. Burke, Chief of Naval Personnel, during a Change of Command ceremony in the Midway Ceremonial Drill Hall at Recruit Training Command (RTC), the Navy’s only boot camp, on Naval Station Great Lakes, August 9. Evans was relieved as the commander of Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) by Rear Adm. Mike Bernacchi (seated left). Evans will report as Commander, Carrier Strike Group Two, embarked on board USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77), homeported in Norfolk, Virginia. Burke was the keynote speaker at the ceremony.
