Capt. Darin Sweet meets St. Louis Blues forward David Backes in the NHL All-Star player locker room before the game January 30. The NHL invited Sweet to pre-game fesitivites, a meet-and-greet with the All-Star players, and a premium floor level seat to the game. Sweet earned the Bronze Star and Purple Heart after sustaining injuries during a fire fight in Afghanistan. Sweet is a member of the U.S. Army Civil Affairs Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) headquartered at Fort Bragg, N.C.
