When I went to MEPS I was given two choices, either damage controlmen or the submarine electronics computer field. As I went to submarine school I learned so much about the history and heritage of the submarine force and I am proud to be a part of that history today. It is a lot of hard work and there are trying times but we always find ways to combat that pressure. We all have tough days but we are always there for each other through thick and thin," said Electronics Technician Navigation 3rd Class (SS/DV) Derek Stoklosa, a native of Buffalo, New York, and Sailor on the Virginia-class Submarine USS Mississippi (SSN 782).
