170308-N-KC128-293 PEARL HARBOR (March 8, 2017) Faces of the Deep: "Food plays a pretty large role in how people feel and it can set the atmosphere of the boat, good or bad. One bad meal can ruin a person’s day. So when I hear someone say, 'that food was good,' or 'man, that taste great,' it puts a smile on my face to know I helped make it happen. Before I went to MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) I was going to be a master-at-arms. once I got there the guy told me culinary specialist was available if I wanted to go on submarines. My uncle and grandfather were in the Navy and they served on surface ships, so when the opportunity to do something different presented itself I said yes and I haven’t looked back since," said Culinary Specialist Seaman Hunter Mills, a native of Bethel, Vermont, and Sailor assigned to the Virginia-class submarine USS Texas (SSN 775).
