170307-N-KC128-659 PEARL HARBOR (March 7, 2017) Faces of the Deep: "When I was younger I would help my dad remodel houses. I liked the idea of being a mechanic and I have always wanted to build and fix things. It was kind of fitting that when I joined Machinist's Mate was the only rate open at the time," said Machinist's Mate Auxiliary Fireman (SS) Jim C. Sun, a native of Arcadia, California, and Sailor assigned the Virginia-class Submarine USS Texas (SSN 775). "I have been on board for a year and seven months and the most memorable thing I have done so far is earning my dolphins. It was a challenge but it is probably my greatest achievement in the Navy so far."
