MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, California (May 13, 2017) U.S. Marine Corps Col. Clay C. Tipton, commanding officer, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is greeted by Lt. Gen. Lewis A. Craparotta, I Marine Expeditionary Force commanding general, with a handshake after returning home from a seven-month deployment at Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 13. Tipton led the 11th MEU’s Western Pacific Deployment 16-2 through the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions where the unit supported multiple operations and conducted various training exercises with foreign militaries.
