MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, California (May 12, 2017) U.S. Marine Cpl. Dustin Rits, a motor transportation operator with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), poses for a photo with his girlfriend during a homecoming event at Camp Pendleton, Calif. May 12. Rits received letters and packages from his family to help support him throughout the MEU’s seven-month deployment. As their Western Pacific Deployment 16-2 concludes, the Marines and Sailors with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU return home to Southern California to reunite with their families and friends.
