CAMP PENDLETON, California (May 12, 2017) A child poses for a photo during an 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) homecoming event at Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 12. Her father (left), GySgt. Edwardo Santillan Jr., a maintenance management specialist with the 11th MEU, returned to Southern California after a seven-month deployment to the Western Pacific, Middle East, and Horn of Africa. During Western Pacific Deployment 16-2, the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU supported multiple operations and conducted various training exercises with foreign militaries.
