BAGHDAD -- Sgt. 1st Class Aulio Marroquin (left) from San Antonio, Texas, listens after introducing U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Scott Van Buskirk who spoke outside the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad July 4 prior to a band concert. Marroquin, a 27-year Army and band veteran, serves as Operations noncommissioned officer for the 4th Infantry Division Band. Marroquin also acts as leader and music arranger for the band's Latin group, Fierro Caliente and plays trombone with that group; in addition, he plays euphonium with the Brute 4's Tuba-Euphonium quartet and is the drum major for the 4th Inf. Div.'s ceremonial band. The 4th Inf. Div. Band was invited to play for the holiday, which included a ceremony featuring high-profile guests His Excellency Jalal Talabini, president of the Republic of Iraq, U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Dr. Zalmay Khalilzad and General George William Casey, Jr., commander, Multi-National Forces-Iraq. Van Buskirk recently joined Casey's staff in Iraq.
