With the assistance of Capt. Derek Bowen, engineer, JTF-Haiti, a group of maintenance workers at the Haitian Police Academy lay down concertina wire near a damaged section of wall. Bowen, along with Maj. Scott McMahon, engineer, JTF-Haiti, explained to the group how to place the posts holding the wire into the ground and then how to string the wire. The academy wishes to secure the damaged wall before they restart classes. United States Agency for International Development requested engineers from JTF-Haiti to give a class to Haitians so they could secure the wall themselves.
