A Haitian at the Haitian Police Academy walks out five paces to place the next post where concertina wire will be placed. Capt. Derek Bowen, engineer, JTF-Haiti, and Maj. Scott McMahon, engineer, JTF-Haiti, explained to the group how to place the posts holding the wire into the ground and then how to string the wire. United States Agency for International Development requested that engineers deployed in support of Operation Unified Response show people at the academy how to string the wire around damaged parts of the wall surrounding the academy. The school is waiting until the area is secure to begin its next class.
