Capt. Derek Bowen, engineer, JTF-Haiti, shows a group of Haitians working at the Haitian Police Academy how to properly place a post into the ground. The post will later hold concertina wire. Bowen, along with Maj. Scott McMahon, engineer, JTF-Haiti, explained to the group how to place the posts holding the wire into the ground and then how to string the wire. Currently, the academy does not have classes going on due to a damaged wall that surrounds the grounds. United States Agency for International Development requested troops to show workers at the academy how to string the wire in order to make the area secure. Once the project is complete, classes will begin again.
