160526-N-NF288-105 YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 26, 2016) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Airman (AW) Rakim Elmore, from Stoughton, Massachusetts, inspects a float coat dye pouch in the hanger bay of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) in preparation for Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV). The dye pouch activates when a Sailor falls into water. INSURV ensures the material readiness of Navy ships. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
