Captain Charles C. Cain, series commander, Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, inspects a recruit’s blouse during a series commander inspection at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 28. Recruits are taught to label their items and uniforms to be able to keep track of them more easily. Prior to the event, drill instructors spend time preparing their recruits to pass the inspection by telling them what to expect. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 29.
