Zechman (right), training support officer, U.S. Army Japan, explains how the U.S. Army incorporates synthetic dummies weighing more than 180 pounds in training exercises that focus on casualty treatment and evacuation. Zechman explained to his guests from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Reserve Component that the hundreds of props, models and dummies stored at the Training Support Center help USARJ facilitate realistic training scenarios for Soldiers participating in simulated patrols, ambushes, emergencies and casualty evacuations.
