Lawrence Ervin greets Pakistani boy in disaster area during Inspection Trip [Image 66 of 93]
The United States through its Agency for International Development, has made a massive effort to rush relief supplies to the devastated area of East Pakistan which was hit by the typhoon and tidal wave in mid-November. AID, along with other U.S. voluntary agencies, donated food, clothing, medicine, blankets, water purification tablets and personal hygiene kits. Lawrence Ervin greets a Pakistani boy in the disaster area during an inspection trip. Ervin is an AID staff member in Pakistan and a former Peace Corps Volunteer who served in the Delta. He speaks fluent Bengali. His hometown is Milwaukee, Wis.
