Alliance jeeps and boats bring medical aid to rural Central America. A remarkable program of medical service is being carried out by doctors and nurses, riding jeeps and riverboats to 443 remote rural communities in Central American and Panama, under the alliance for Progress. During its three years of operation, the program has provided nearly 1,500,000 medical consultations - including, for many patients, the first in their lives. Children of La Venta, Honduras, receive daily portion of milk and vitamins from volunteer workers in rural health program sponsored by Honduran government under Alliance.
