Chief Warrant Officer 3 Nathaniel Knutson, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Ryan Skopek, both pilots and Spc. Kevin Bowers, crew chief with Alpha Company, 2916th Aviation Battalion with U.S. Army National Training Center Fort Irwin, stationed at Barstow-Daggett Airport, flew a Black Hawk aircraft over Alcatraz and near the Golden Gate Bridge while transporting a Lakota aircraft on its final voyage with the crew, from Daggett to Woodland, Calif., July 13. The Lakota helicopter's final destination will be the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Rucker, AL. and will be the center's primary training aircraft for flight school students while they are first learning how to fly helicopters.
