Adam Kennedy, company commander for Alpha Company, 2916th Aviation Battalion with the U.S. Army, National Training Center Fort Irwin, stationed at Barstow-Daggett Airport, observes progress of the flight in a Black Hawk aircraft, using maps downloaded to his iPad, while returning home from Woodland to Daggett, Calif., July 13. The trip included two aircraft, a Lakota and the Black Hawk on the way up, at which point they dropped off the Lakota to contractors, both flight crews then returning in the Black Hawk.
