First Lt. Edward Fitzpatrick, a Honolulu native with Troop B, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, discusses his unit’s equipment and capabilities to Dimitri V. Lipovoski (third from left), a member of the Estonian Defense League, and two Young Eagles scouts July 10, at Paldiski, Estonia. Troop B invited the Young Eagles, an Estonian paramilitary youth organization similar to the Boy Scouts of America and Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, to speak with American Soldiers, don their gear and sit inside their vehicles. Approximately 600 paratroopers from 173rd Airborne are in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve to demonstrate commitment to NATO obligations and sustain interoperability with allied forces.
