May and Air Force Maj. Gen. Timothy J. Lowenberg, the adjutant general for the Washington National Guard, visited 81st BCT Soldiers in Ramadi and Balad during their two-day trip. More than 2,400 members of the Washington Army National Guard's 81st BCT are deployed to various bases across Iraq, including Al-Asad, Q-West, Balad and Al-Taqaddum, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This is the second deployment for the 81st BCT.
