A line of strong thunderstorms produced a tornado that passed through the Albany, Georgia community and Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany carving a path of destruction leaving the landscape strewn with broken trees, downed power lines and damaged structures, Jan. 22, 2017. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the storms and tornadoes. Our team is aggressively working with our tenant and supported commands to restore the installation to normal operations,” said Col. James C. Carroll, the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany commanding officer.
