At the request of the government of Jamaica and the U.S. State Department, Joint Task Force-Bravo is supporting immediate, life-saving efforts in communities impacted by the disaster.
The 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit began humanitarian operations in Jamaica, delivering essential medical supplies and food while coordinating with Joint Task Force-Bravo following Hurricane Melissa’s impact on October 28, 2025. As a rapid-response force under U.S. Southern Command, the 22nd MEU is equipped to provide foreign assistance and stabilize affected communities with speed and precision.
At the direction of U.S. Southern Command, Joint Task Force-Bravo began deployment to Kingston, Jamaica, today on a mission to provide humanitarian and disaster relief assistance following Hurricane Melissa.
