The Marine Corps' newest advertising campaign, Shifting Threats, showcases the increasingly complex and chaotic global environment that Marines are currently operating in, characterized by “un” threats: unpredictable, unimaginable, unknown and undeclared. The campaign conveys a single premise: Against ever-evolving threats, our Nation’s greatest asset is the adaptable skillset of Marines who fight and win.

Sgt Joshua Griffin a native of Charlotte N.C. was originally the embarkation chief and training Non-Commissioned Officer for Combat Logistics Battalion - 451. Though, after meeting GySgt. Justin Baldwin, a seasoned Prior Service Recruiter stationed in Charlotte, he became inspired by his leadership and professionalism. Griffin made it his mission to one day reach that same level.
At 0900 on April 5th, 2025, more than 250 young men and women about to ship out to recruit training, known as Poolees, and Marines gathered to conduct an annual pool function hosted by Marine Corps Recruiting Station Charlotte at South Iredell High School in Statesville, North Carolina.
