Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course is a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1), a unit on Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma. WTI emphasizes the operational integration of the six functions of Marine Corps aviation in support of a Marine Air Ground Task Force. Although MAWTS-1 provides tactical training and certification, there is another unit working tirelessly behind the scenes.
