Airmen from the U.S. Air Force 521st Contingency Response Squadron trained on the ASA Fort Dix NATO Standard Obstacle Course on Sept. 12, 2025. The mission of the 521st CRS is to rapidly assess, open, operate, sustain, and defend expeditionary airfields and aerial ports in support of global mobility operations. ASA Fort Dix is home to the only NATO Standard Obstacle Course in the United States. The three-lane, 500-meter-long course contains 20 obstacles which are negotiated to a timed standard.
