On Sept. 24, 2025, ASA Fort Dix Commander Col. Bryan Dunker, Command Sgt Maj. Stonnie Bell, and DPTMS Director Frank Romano inspected the fire break maintenance project which is ongoing in the range impact area. Bi-annually, maintenance is conducted over a two-week period on the fire breaks in the range impact area. Encroaching vegetation is removed, and the fire break surfaces are graded and repaired. Maintaining the fire breaks is critical to controlling and containing fires in the range impact area. (Images captured by Jerome Leffers)
