Two additional soldiers in the background are bent over, also engaged in the same field exercise. The setting appears to be a tactical combat casualty care (TCCC) or field training exercise in a forested environment.

U.S. Army Spc. RaNiya Corbin, a corrections and detention specialist assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, 109th Military Police Battalion, prepares to lift a litter during the medical lane on day three of the five-day Dark Knight competition held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 9, 2026. As competitors progressed through the medical lane, they were placed in time-sensitive scenarios designed to test their ability to assess, treat and move casualties while managing physical and mental stress. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
