Airman 1st Class Caleb Pippin, Airman Filbert Barrera and Staff Sgt. Crystal Goodin, members of the Eielson Air Force Base Honor Guard and the Alaska Air National Guard, teach and assist fourth- and fifth-grade students with properly folding the U.S. flag at Salcha Elementary School in Salcha, Alaska, Sept. 1, 2026. Airmen from the Alaska Air National Guard and Eielson AFB Honor Guard taught students about flag protocol, including the history and significance of the U.S. flag, flag facts, proper folding techniques, and procedures for raising and lowering the flag.
