    Members of the Eielson Air Force Base Honor Guard and the 168th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, visit Salcha Elementary School in Salcha, Alaska, Sept. 1, 2026, to teach fourth- and fifth-grade students about flag protocol at the beginning of the school year. The lesson included the history and significance of the U.S. flag, flag facts, proper flag folding, flag protocol, and procedures for raising and lowering the flag.
